People say there is always a vegan tax we have to pay. This ting milkshake is almost $11 I think!? It's very good, no doubt, but it is very expansive. The place is cute and I love the cozy and laid-back vibe. And the guy here is very handsome and obliging. I will actually come back for trying other things.

They have a vast menu of burgers and sides- plus shakes made with Oatly soft serve! I had a vanilla shake along with their "Chik'n Buffalo Burger" loaded with Just Egg and vegan bacon, plus the "Carne Asada Fries" topped Impossible meat, pico de Gallo, guacamole, pickled jalapeños, and The Uncreamery cheese! It was SUPER filling and absolutely delicious. All of VeganBurg's packaging is made of FSC materials, uses vegetable-based ink and vegetable-lining in place of plastic, plus it's biodegradable! Veganburg originated from Singapore in 2010 by Alex Tan. Alex has been very active in the plant-based community from where he is from and is committed to make plant-based food more seen in mainstream. In 2015, the Haight-Ashbury location was born. Veganburg is self-considered the first 100% vegan fast food restaurant and won an award. Upon entering, you feel cozy and comfortable. The place is sleek and organized. Astroturf is used and so the interior makes it seem like you are outside in a shaded patio. I like the rustic farmhouse look, it makes me feel like I'm in a cottage summer house somewhere. You order through a automatic kiosk at front and get served food in the back. I ordered various items the few times I came to eat here. My favorite is the creamy mushroom burger. The seaweed fries are definitely something new for me. I also tried a smokey bbq burger which was okay, though the sauce was too bland for me. Both burgers are drip messy and chaotic so I had to nap myself with every bite. Overall, the food tastes a bit healthier than a regular fast food place.

I was very excited to try VeganBurg because it had good reviews. I tried the Haight N' Salsa burger, garlic aioli fries, chicken tenders, lemonade, and chocolate cake. I'm vegan and I went with a non-vegan friend who enjoyed the food as much as I did. We had a good experience overall other than having to wait a little while for our food. They were short staffed but as attentive as they could be. This is overall a decent vegan fast food place that can be enjoyed by vegans and non vegans.
